What are Content Credentials?
The C2PA standard embeds cryptographically signed manifests describing how an asset was created and edited, including whether AI was used. They appear in files from ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Gemini and others.
Where is C2PA stored?
In JPEG files it lives in an APP11 segment; in PNG it's an iTXt text chunk; in WebP it's a c2pa RIFF chunk. NoMoreAI finds and removes each of these at the binary level.
What removal does NOT mean
Removing the manifest does not erase every trace of AI generation. Pixel-level artifacts and other embedded signals may remain, and detection systems can still flag an image. NoMoreAI never claims to make images undetectable.
How to remove C2PA
Upload the image, confirm the C2PA detection in the inspection report, click Clean Image and download the cleaned file. The original is never modified.

Can C2PA be added back later?
Yes — anyone can attach a new manifest. Removing it just clears the existing one.
