What AI metadata gets embedded in images?
Generators like ChatGPT/DALL·E, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion and Flux commonly write C2PA Content Credentials (a tamper-evident provenance manifest), IPTC DigitalSourceType fields such as trainedAlgorithmicMedia, XMP descriptions, and software tags into the file.
How does the removal work?
NoMoreAI performs a binary-level cleanup: it rebuilds the file while dropping the metadata segments and chunks (JPEG APP1/APP11/APP13, PNG tEXt/iTXt/eXIf, WebP EXIF/XMP/c2pa). Pixels are copied verbatim — no recompression, no quality loss.
What can't it do?
Removing metadata does not remove pixel-level patterns that some AI detectors look for, and it does not defeat every detection system. NoMoreAI is a metadata cleaner, not an AI detector or a watermark bypass tool.
How to clean an AI image
Upload the image, review the inspection report (EXIF, XMP, IPTC, PNG metadata, C2PA), click Clean Image, then download the cleaned copy. Your original file is never modified, and the image never leaves your device.

Cleaning metadata from files you created or have rights to is generally legal. Using it to deceive others about content provenance may violate platform policies — check the rules of wherever you publish.
Does this remove the AI watermark?
No. Visible and invisible pixel-level watermarks are not metadata and are outside NoMoreAI's scope.
